In a world plagued by a media-saturated web of mass paranoia, terror and a seemingly insurmountable refugee crisis, art continues to shed light on the personal narratives and private dramas. Aligned with this idea is the Barcelona-based Han Nefkens Foundation, which every two years artists in the non-Western world who lend a stronger and more intimate global voice to the underrepresented.
