ADRIÁN BALSECA was born in Quito, Ecuador in 1989.
His work has been shown at various solo exhibitions including: Horamen at the Casa del Alabado Pre-Columbian Art Museum in Quito (2017); The Skin of Labour at the Madragoa Gallery in Lisbon (2016); Caja de Cambios I and Caja de Cambios II at the SENDA Gallery in Barcelona (2015); Corte at No Lugar en Quito, amongst others.
He has also participated in group exhibitions including: Horizonte de sucesos at OTR Espacio de Arte in Madrid (2017); En mis 15 Años al zur-ich at the CAC/Contemporary Art Center of Quito (2017); Balseca/Belouaar at the Madragoa Gallery in Lisbon (2017); LARA – Latin America Roaming Art at the CAC/Contemporary Art Center of Quito (2016); Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin 2016-2017; Intersections (after Lautréamont) at The Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation in Miami (2015); Recent Video from Latin America at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, USA (2015).
He has won several awards, among which include the Mariano Aguilera National Award 2014-2015, CAC/Contemporary Art Center of Quito; Grants & Commissions Program 2015: emerging artist, Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation (CIFO) in Miami, U.S.A; Paris Award at the 12th International Biennial in Cuenca: Ir para volver (2014).

Elena Shtromberg: USA-Associate Professor in the Department of Art & Art History at the University of Utah. She specializes in modern and contemporary Latin American visual culture, with a specific focus on Brazil and the U.S.-Mexico border region.
Giacomo Zaza(1978). Italy. In 2013 Giacomo Zaza was curator of the Pavilion of the Republic of Cuba at the 55th International Art Exhibition, the Venice Biennale. In 2015, Zaza was also associate curator of the 12th Biennial in Havana, Cuba.
