Residence for Writers ARts Omi-Ledig House (New York)
Call for writers In collaboration with Institut Ramon Llull. The selection of writers who want to participate in the program Writers Omi-Ledig House is opened. This year Ledig House will host two writers in Catalan during the autumn months of 2017. The stay of writers can not match over time. Ledig House is located in the village of Omi, two and a half hours from New York. The Institute has been collaborating since 2010.
Writers Omi-Ledig House was founded in 1992. Since then it has hosted more than 100 authors from 50 countries with the aim of encouraging the creative and cultural exchange of international residents. During the stay a maximum of ten authors from around the world will be at the same time in teh residence with the possibility of participate in individual and group activities, that will be the meeting point for professionals from the literary world around the world.
Writers in Catalan with at least one original literary work published in Catalan with exclusive authorship (narrative, poetry and theater).
WHAT DOES THE INSTITUTE OFFER?
IRL is responsible for the costs of accommodation and per diem.
The stay must have a minimum duration of three weeks and a maximum of four weeks.
SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS
It will be necessary to send the request to the generic instance of the Online IRL Office:

Fragment of the work in Catalan (20 pp-1,800 characters)
The IRL will translate it into English.
